When it comes to skincare and skin management, the consultation process is the most critical part of any new skincare routine – especially when dealing with more complex skin concerns such as acne, rosacea, melasma and so on. If you don’t take this step seriously, then you’re wasting your time and money!
Unfortunately, a lot of clinics don’t place nearly a enough energy into their consults as they should. They lack depth, knowledge and overall experience and expertise.
We recently had a client visit us that had tried 2 other clinics. The extent of the consultation on both occasions was a quick 15-20~ minute chat. Not satisfied, she found us – and we are so glad she did.
“This was one of the most professional and thorough consultations I’ve ever had. It was so nice to sit down in a private room and discuss my concerns in person. I felt like I was being listened to and acknowledged. Extremely happy and confident with this decision.”
We know it’s easier to walk into any clinic and just buy whatever they recommend based on a quick chat about how your skin looks and feels. But there is so much more to it then that.
In order to identify the ’cause’ of your skin concern, we need to dig deep. Afterall, if we aren’t treating the cause, then why bother at all?
If we don’t do a thorough consultation, we aren’t helping you – we are wasting your time and your money. Sure, we could take a ‘guess’ and sell you some products straight off the shelf but this helps no one – especially you!
Advanced skin imaging technology should also be used. If your clinic isn’t using this technology, they aren’t doing you any favours whatsoever. In fact, they’re probably wasting even more of your time and money.
Take the consultation process seriously. Visit a clinic that takes it seriously.
Be open and honest with your answers. We aren’t asking lots of questions to waste your time – they serve a purpose. Invest your time in it. The better your answers, the more we can help. The more seriously you take it, the better the results.
