Why choose us?

We’re not just another laser clinic. We are ‘your’ laser clinic!

  • We treat every 6-8+ weeks – not every 4 weeks like many clinics. This ensures we are targeting your hairs in the right growth phase resulting in better, faster results.
  • We take our training seriously! We hold nationally recognised Laser Safety and Advanced Laser certifications endorsed by the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery.
  • You’ll always see the same Laser Specialist. You don’t have to worry about who will be performing your treatments each time.
  • You’re treated like an individual. Your treatments are personalised and tailored for you. We listen to you, understand your concerns, and address them appropriately and professionally.
  • We are not an express service. You’ll never feel like just another number. You don’t have to worry about being rushed in and out like there was no care taken.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do other clinics treat every 4 weeks?

This is known as undertreating.

We perform treatments on the face every 6 to 8 weeks, and on the body every 8-10 weeks – not every 4 weeks like many other clinics.

We need to treat hair in the active growth phase and that only occurs during specific periods of time (eg. every 8 to 10 weeks on the body). This is the only stage of hair growth where the laser can effectively and successfully shut down the blood supply stopping the hair from growing back.

Treating sooner (every 4 weeks like many laser clinics out there – usually the same clinics that will happily sell you large packs of 10+ treatments at a time) means they are treating missed patches of hair or hair that was not treated effectively to begin with.

If you’re not getting great results with you hair removal treatments, this could be why.

Is the treatment Permanent?

Hair removal with laser will permanently reduce the total number of body hairs but will not permanently remove all hair.

While existing hair loss is permanent this does not prevent the growth of new hairs. No laser or IPL can guarantee permanent hair removal.

Response to laser hair removal varies considerably between people. Some clients may have hormonal factors stimulating hair growth.

How many treatments will I need?

This will depend on a number of factors including skin type, thickness of the hair and colour, as well as which part of the body is being treated.

As a general guide, it usually takes about 6~ treatments every 6-8~ weeks, depending on the part of the body we are treating. Some people may require more, others will require less.

We will give you an estimate during your initial consultation.

How often do I need treatments?

We treat every 6-8~ weeks, not every 4-6 weeks.

At 4-6 weeks you’re not treating the hairs in their ideal growth phase. This means more frequent visits and more treatments overall. Poor results are also highly possible because you aren’t treating the hairs in correct growth phase.

We strongly recommend you avoid the temptation to buy large treatment packs – especially those offering 10 or more treatments at heavily discounted prices. It may seem like you’re saving money at first, but you’re really not when you consider the above eg. more treatments, more regularly, at the wrong time in the hair growth phase.

We invite you to book a consultation with us and we can discuss specifics with you.

What laser do you use?

WE DO NOT USE IPL. We use medical grade lasers from Cutera – one of the most trusted and highly recognisable names in the industry.

Our lasers are recognised as state of the art – treating quickly, comfortably and effectively. The Cutera Excel HR utilises gold sapphire contact cooling to maximize your comfort and safety.

Is it painful?

Short answer – no!

Your comfort and safety are paramount and that’s why we’ve opted for a state of the art, medical grade laser. Complete with a unique contact cooling system – the Cutera Excel HR uses gold sapphire contact cooling which ensures your Laser Hair Removal is mostly pain free and comfortable.

Having said that, some clients may feel a minor stinging sensation when the laser is fired. Some clients liken the sensation to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Usually this is experienced in more sensitive areas of the body.

You should never be in a state of unbearable pain. If you are, please ensure you inform the practitioner.
