Niacinamide

Niacinamide boosts skin immunity and increases the production of the skin’s natural ceramides in the stratum corneum. Ceramides lubricate and protect the skin from moisture loss (TEWL). Niacinamide results in a more hydrated, dewy complexion and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines.

Niacinamide assists in regulating oil glands and minimising inflammation. It has been shown to be more effective than topical antibiotics. B3 is an excellent alternative for acne management as it does not result in the emergence of antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria in the community.

Topical Vitamin B3 also reduces the appearance of hyper-pigmentation by preventing melanin transfer from the melanocyte to the keratinocyte.
